first glass outing #throughglass #1Kglass

My son's marching band went to Sarinia, Canada to be in the parade of lights they do. It's a night time parade. I brought Google Glass. We were concerned about the cold, but Glass was fine. 

As I talked the parade, I heard a few people making comments. "Look she's watching TV" when I was taking a video. or "she's gone one of those head things". 

The best part was seeing the faces of the kids I let try it. None of them asked but when I offered their faces lit up. 

For the 1KGlass project, I want to take a picture of each kids that tries Glass. I learned you do not take the picture the first moment the put on Glass. You need to wait for that moment when they get it. That "aha". That's when you take the pic. 

They could all figure out how to use Glass. We were out of the country so no wifi but they could still get a feel for it. 

I am so excited about bringing this innovation to kids and inspiring them to create the next innovation!
